Barbate

Barbate is a fishing port dating back to Roman times. Around the port has grown up a bright white-walled town of great interest to tourists.

There are magnificient beaches close to Barbete, such as del Carmen, and de Yerbabuena, and above all the Caños de Meca, with 100 metre-high cliffs and freshwater pounds.

Together with the light-house the old Castillo de Santiagostands out as of interest.
